Uncle Chen is the best! I love the whole family, Simon and Marcos are some of my favorite! Great food, the chicken in the hot garlic sauce is to die for! Love you guys!!

Great Chinese food at a good price. Large selection, helpfull staff. Warm atmosphere with plenty of seating. I've been there twice with my family and everyone was satisfied. It's just off the 101 freeway in Carpinteria. It's a welcome option to McDonald's and IHOP. I'll be telling g my friends to eat there.

I've been to Uncle Chen's several times now and have always had a great experience. Cozy place with a quiet atmosphere allows for pleasurable dinning with the family. Although sometimes every seat is filled, the wait is never long and the staff are delightful and friendly. I'm sure the food quality and taste is what keeps the seats filled as every bite is delicious with an abundance of asian flavor. This is a must, at least once, you will thank me....and Uncle Chen!

Excellent service, good food

This place is so great. I go here when I want to eat a lot of really amazing food. The atmosphere is calm and tranquil with some classic Chinese music playing. The complementary fried won tons they serve are delicious. The egg rolls have crispy outsides and a juicy, moist interior. The beef stick kebabs are sweet and tender. The paper wrapped chicken is always the star of my order. The beef broccoli is always perfectly seasoned and cooked. The broccoli in it is still crisp and fresh. The chow mien has a perfect consistency and a very nice flavor. Even the steamed rice is pretty good. Tsing Tao beer which is served here is light and crisp. Similar to an American light beer but with a little more flavor and less carbonation. This restaurant is really under rated. I think they deserve more business. Keep up the good work!

We loved the food my husband said the Ku Pau Chicken was the best. We got mixed msg about this restaurant when in doubt try the place, our experience was great. We enjoyed the food tremendously and Roy was very helpful.

As a local, I should eat here more than I do. The food is always better than I expect it to be. The pricing is fair for quantity and quality. The service is always cheerful and efficient.

Best Chinese food in carpinteria

This Chinese Restaurant is located in Casitas Plaza in Carpinteria, Ca. Its run by Roy and his family. The staff takes customer service to a whole other level! WOW, the service is phenomenal!! As I have stated before, I have food allergies and they catered to all of them. The water classes were made of heavy duty glass and were super large, yesterday was super HOT! They didn't hover, but were always there when you needed them. The food is quite good! The value for your money is superb. They are friendly, courteous and go all the extra miles. If anyone remembers Wings Chinese restaurant in SB, Uncle Chen's is shades of Wings. Excellent!

Last week my friends and I went to check out the buffet, OMG I never seen pathetic buffet I never experienced, maybe individual dish might be better than what I had for buffet :( yack

Uncle Chens to the family rescue with delivery ! Yummy always and vegan friendly . Just tried the three cup basil chicken and they made a special vegan ginger tofu soup loaded with veggies for my vegan peeps . Delicious and feeling good ! Thank you Uncle Chens !

Very tasty food. Very light, didn't have the stereotypical thick heavy sauces that many Chinese restaurants have. Got the wor wonton soup, Szechuan beef and Rincon fried rice.

Was a interesting crossover between Mexican food on some days and Chinese on the other. We received fried won-tons as an appetizer which was good with the included sweet and sour sauce and mustard. I ordered the house chow-mein and it was very good and was served hot. Overall a good experience for the food in the area.

Just ordered a delivery and it was a total anti climax. Would of rather made myseld a baloney sandwich and saved $50. Didnt finish the meal which was egg foo young which was like two pieces of cardboard. Awful, never again, i have just wasted $50 on something i got no enjoyment out of whatsoever and I regret spending the money which accentuates the bad aftertaste of the burnt oil and queasy stomach.

The food is outstanding! The soups and family dinner is more food than you can eat. For all this food the prices are amazing. They were very accommodating with my vegan and with the kids requests as well.

Been coming her since before my daughter was born. She is 19 now. It has always been my favorite. Great food get Service family owned and operated. Always a great meal with friendly staff!
